Guided by the elders of the Ojibewea, nurtured and taught in the ways of storytelling and arts of the Native people. Works created by Little Feather Fine Art is traditionally and respectfully handcrafted. Each individual piece takes weeks to months to complete. These pieces are one of a kind each carefully and intentionally created by the artist. 

Skull pieces vary in design, including hand painted and/or hand beading, dreamcatchers are incorporated into some pieces, gently woven and integrated into the eyes. All materials used are natural, either/or a combination of, glass, stone, brass, wood, metal. Each raw material individually chosen by the artist to suit the character and personality of each individual animal/skull. Other materials used include: buckskin, hand cut from full hide and hand braided. Tin, copper and brass cones or jingles. A variety of feathers are used including but not limited to turkey, domesticated goose, grouse, pheasant.

Animal skulls are authentic bone. Skulls to choose from include: Steer, cow, buck, doe, beaver, coyote. 

Pieces are complete and ready to display in your home beautifully adorned with a varying degree of the above raw materials. Each piece has its own character it’s own story and it’s own name that the artist chose at specific moments in time during its creation.
